The Pride Rainbow Project was started in Fall 2003 by five youth of the Unitarian Church of Calgary. It was originally designed to show support for the same-sex marriage legislation in Canada, but is now branching out to work for GBLTQ rights in general(See Mandate for details).
It is a fabric rainbow banner approximately 5 feet wide, 500 feet long. It contains the 6 colours of the pride flag:Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple.
It is currently split into 4 sections, each of which is assigned to a Region for use at pride parades, rallies and other events, and to be rented for private functions.
